2L's: How does it feel to be one of the pioneers to put Pittsburgh on the map?
Sledge: I don't even feel like we're the pioneers because there's so much to still be accomplished. I feel until we reach that, we're no better then the next man.
2L's: Perfectly stated! Ok, so tell me about some of the other artists involved in the Pittsburgh movement.
Sledge: Well besides us, i've been hearing there's a couple that have been making noise. um, I'd say G.O.V boaz beans (highway music) mac miller.. thats all that comes to my head right now.
2L's: Mac Miller is definitely on the come up. I've interviewed him also. He is very unique. Watching Wiz Khalifa develop in the industry, how has he matured as an artist?
Sledge: I think he came into the game so mature to the point that the level he is on right now is crazy! I put him in the lab with who ever and watch the magic thats created.
2L's: I love Wiz as an artist! He is truly one of a kind! What impact do you feel Taylor Gang will or have had on the music industry?
Sledge: I think we'll definitely have an impact in the industry! Our music is creative, drive is crazy, we don't have outside help nor do we need any. Give us an engineer, something great to inhale, and something good to drink and some how some way something great comes out!
2L's: I cant argue with that! Now Im sure all of my viewers want to know; what can we expect from you all in the future?
Sledge: Just expect us to be consistent while still creating new and unheard sounds. Some want you to change, some want you to stay the same. we usually find a almost perfect between the two.
2L's: To the artists that are not signed yet but working towards that step, what advice would you give?
Sledge: I would tell them to just keep grinding! Its nearly impossible to make it over night. Build a a team, a buzz, and continue to create great music! Hopefully, oppurtunity will present itself will you miss it? (who knows)
2L's:What sets Sledgren aside from other producers?
Sledge: I don't think really anything sets me aside from other producers. Nfl teams play the same, some are just good and use to winning, some are good and just cant get it done! Some how, im winning so i guess ill keep playing!
